Your sensitive data is encrypted in your browser. On the server it exists only as unreadable ciphertext – we cannot read it, even if we wanted to.
Important: your password is the key.
Your data is encrypted with it. If the password is lost, the data is gone for good – no one can restore it, not even us. Save it in a password manager or write it down securely.
Who's behind eigenbuch
There's no corporation behind eigenbuch – just me: Uwe Richter from Dresden – a father, a former sex worker, and long unemployed myself. I know what this work feels like and how hard the bureaucratic side can be. That's exactly why I'm building eigenbuch: a tool that genuinely helps – made for you, not ruling over you. Sparing with data, transparent, in your hands.
