What is eigenbuch?
eigenbuch is an encrypted back office for self-employed sex work: a cash book for the tax office, filling help for welfare (the EKS annex), a private client list, appointments and deadlines – in one tool. Everything sensitive is end-to-end encrypted.
Who is eigenbuch for?
For self-employed people in sex work in Germany – escorts, appointment flats and independent workers. The application is available in seven languages (German, English, Romanian, Bulgarian, Spanish, Hungarian, Polish).
Can my provider, the tax office or an attacker see my data?
No. eigenbuch is built on the zero-knowledge principle: cash book and client list are stored encrypted only, and decryption happens solely in your browser. Even if the server were seized, only unreadable ciphertext would be there. Your password is the key – not even the provider can hand it over.
Is the cash book suitable for the tax office?
Yes. Income and expenses are recorded with gap-free receipt numbers and made tamper-evident by a checksum chain (GoBD-oriented). From this the profit calculation (EÜR) is produced.
Does eigenbuch help with welfare and the EKS annex?
Yes. There is a filling help for the EKS annex for the job centre – including the § 11b earned-income allowance and a deadline countdown. You see what is counted before the notice arrives.
What does eigenbuch cost?
The first 14 days are free; nothing renews automatically afterwards. eigenbuch costs from €21/month, for BesD members from €11/month. Plain hosting starts at €4/month, and the combo of website builder and eigenbuch from €25/month (BesD members from €15/month). As a small business under § 19 UStG, no VAT is shown.
What happens if I lose my password?
Then you set a new password with your recovery key. You create it after your first login and print it. Without your password and without this key the encrypted data is lost, not even we can decrypt it.
Can I export my data or delete my account?
At any time. You can download all your data and delete your account completely – no lock-in. Whoever leaves takes everything with them.
